The local Squirrel Glider population needs relatives that are close by to ensure the broader population remains diverse and healthy. Some of the closest and connected bushland is just a glide or two away at Awaba and the LT Sustainable Neighbourhood group are trying to get the area formally recognized as a Conservation Area.
