Get on your bike and ride…a very long way

You’d be hard pressed to find someone who has not been touched by cancer.

One local lad, Jackson Carey , is using the experience to inspire him to ride 4,000km from Melbourne to Cairns fundraising for cancer research with Steer North, a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to advance health by engaging in community awareness through cycling based events.

Jackson Carey is from Coal Point and is currently studying at the ANU and you can donate to his fundraising page or if you have anyone affected by cancer, he is offering the option to 'ride for someone' by dedicating different sections of the race to different people and ride for those who cannot. On these days his personal aim will be to spread awareness particular to cancers endured by those he is riding for.
