Westlakes Trophies Welcome and Farewell

Carl and Helen from Westlakes Trophies Framing & Engraving at Carey Bay Shopping Village wish to announce that they have sold their business and are going to retire.

“We would like to thank our loyal customers, some of whom have been with us for over 21 years, and we consider treasured friends. It has been a wonderful community to be in business and we appreciate the local support we have had. We feel fortunate in that the new owner, Daniel Cunningham, is very capable and has so much enthusiasm, and we feel confident will continue to grow the business.

Daniel is looking forward to meeting the locals when lockdown finishes. He intends to run the business in a similar manner and looks forward to a strong working relationship with existing staff, Sukira & Pika, and new staff member Rob”.

Sponsor's Spot- Just Jude of Carey Bay

Judy McDonald has been a hairdresser since she was a teenager. She’s been in business for 22 years and purchased the Carey Bay Salon after working there for 2 years.

With 80% of the Just Jude clientele being local the best thing about each day for Judy & crew is being able to interact in a friendly and professional manner, sharing the latest trends they’ve picked by from the ongoing training.

The salon’s point of difference is putting their clients first and their aim is to meet the client’s needs. The greatest achievement for Judy is surviving for 22 years in the local community. The wonderful, large clientele have continued to support the business and Judy personally and fom Judy is a heartfelt Thankyou all!

Sponsor’s Spot- Shields Auto Repairs

The CPPA would like to acknowledge the support of our sponsor since 2005 Shields Auto Repairs by letting Mark Shields tell you about why he and Leanne are in business.

Shields Auto repairs at 98 Excelsior Pde Carey Bay, has been in business since 2000 and has 80% local clientele.

This was my father’s business, which he started the year I was born. It started as a mobile car repair business in Sydney. When we moved up here we were one of the first few mobile repairers apart from the ‘big ones’.

Everyday is great this is our second home. It probably should be our primary home we’re here the most.

The funniest thing that has happened at work was changing a Hilux gear box in a field, in the dark at Quorrobolong, and having German shepherd guard dog come charging up whilst under the car growling at me with it’s mouth at my steel cap, not funny at the time but it was afterwards.

Our ‘point of difference’ is honesty, trying to do the best job we can and old fashion values.

The achievement we are most proud of is buying our new workshop and finally getting it open after 2 years.

We’re having our Grand Opening on March 1st

noon-2pm and everyone is welcome to join us for...

sausage Sizzle
jumping castle
face painting
kids activities
lucky door prize
motor vehicle displays
and more

Throughout the year all of the Chronicle sponsors will be provided with an opportunity to share their story.

Seasonal support for our sponsors.

This and forthcoming editions of the Chronicle will showcase the amazing variety of skills, services and expertise provided by our sponsors. Sincere thanks to all of the long term and new sponsors whose financial contributions have supplemented the CPPA coffers.

With the giving season upon us, gifts that give personally and to the local community abound. Available at Carey Bay are gifts and vouchers for haircuts, exercise classes, fine wines, fine foods and photography.

For a truly unique gift Westlakes Framing & Trophies will provide inspiration for capturing and sharing memories in tangible formats from glassware to picture frames. For festive food … don’t forget to order the prawns at Shane’s!
